Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County is soliciting proposals from consulting firms to identify, document, and suggest improvements to workflow for both financial and human resource processes as well as identify and document user journeys. It is the expectation that mapping will offer the opportunity to enhance existing business processes and meet the following goals: • Improve service delivery • Optimize decision-making • Improve access to information • Increase efficiency and effectiveness • Improve accountability • Increase the flexibility for reporting requirements • Understand the functionality needed by user groups The consultant will perform an organization wide discovery process to identify, review, and consider all pertinent business processes, user feedback, existing use of current ERP applications, and other integrated third-party applications, as well as data and benchmarks used by comparable local governments. The consultant will document “as-is” business processes and recommend operational changes and improvements. The consultant will document business workflows, decisions, criteria, schedules (including blackout), checklists, etc. for business transactions and make recommendations for improvements based on best practices.
