This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this Sources Sought Notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 15 located at 3450 South 4th Street Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS 66048 is seeking potential qualified contractor to provide On-site Autotransfusion Services for the Kansas City VA Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide these services. The Contractor’s care shall cover the range of Autotransfusion Services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of quality, meeting or exceed currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion http://www.abcp.org.

Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance for this requirement is April 13, 2026 through April 12, 2031 for a base period with four (4) one (1) year option periods.

Description of Services: The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Autotransfusion Services to eligible beneficiaries. The Autotransfusionist is responsible for responding to calls and providing services as needed. They will also provide maintenance and servicing of contractor owned equipment and maintain a record of such. They will set up and operate Autotransfusion pump for surgical procedures other than open heart. Also, generates a record during each surgical case to include the surgical time of the procedure and the amount of autotransfused blood given to attending surgeon for delivery to the patient and handle breakdown of disposable within autotransfusion pump after completion of each procedure. The Autotransfusionist shall be available and be in location as needed to properly perform tasks as specified. Be onsite during all scheduled OR hours. The Autotransfusionist is responsible for coordinating schedule periodic preventative maintenance and repair calls for VA owned equipment and maintain record as such.
