• Recognize and respond to security threats or breaches. • Recognize and respond to emergency situations and safety hazards such as fire alarms, power outages, medical emergencies and elevator entrapments as outlined in the Park Hill School District crisis handbook. • Act as necessary in the event of situations affecting the security or safety of the facility (including fires, accidents, internal disorders, and attempts to commit criminal acts). • Operate and enforce regulatory traffic controls and procedures to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and to prevent or reduce the number of accidents on school property (in areas of loading and unloading buses and/or car rider lines). • Monitor and enforce access control procedures, ensuring all entry points are secure and properly maintained. • Prepare/maintain appropriate logs and reports of activities and incidents. • Patrol/monitor school grounds as defined by the Park Hill School District. • Implement/enforce security procedures as defined by the Park Hill School District. • Make recommendations about changes to security policies and procedures, or about appropriate responses to specific issues, based on the vendor’s own expertise and accepted industry best practices
