Concrete Construction Requirements 1. Standard Construction Details (attached) shall be followed. 2. Concrete must be KCMMB 4K mix per our standards. 3. All concrete installed shall be dowelled/pinned to existing. Required #4 bars, 12” long at 18” on center max with at least 2 dowels per section being replaced. 4. Expansion joint shall abut existing walks, curbs, driveways, and similar structures, and shall be deemed incidental to the contract. 5. Replacement concrete finish to match existing. 6. ADA compliance shall be strictly adhered to, should corrections be required contractor will be responsible. Contractor Responsibility 1. Repair and/or replacement of concrete accessories associated with Sewer, Water Storm, and Street projects must be completed within 15 working days from notification by the City of Blue Springs, unless weather conditions or other specific conditions warrant delays. 2. Contractor will be responsible for supplying all gravel necessary for leveling purposes prior to pouring concrete. 3. Contractor will be responsible for disposal of all waste material. 4. The contractor will provide the necessary barricade devices to restrict traffic on to the driveway for 7 days after pour. 5. Concrete poured in the winter must be maintained at 50 degrees Fahrenheit or above for five (5) days. 6. All Driveways will be saw cut or scored at 1-inch depth to control cracking, in sections no larger than 10 feet square unless the existing driveway is scored differently which the contractor shall then match the existing driveway. 7. All concrete poured will be guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship for 1 year. 8. All concrete shall be treated with TK-AK2 Acuro Kure 1315, a clear protective sealant the day of pour. 9. Concrete forms will be removed within 5 working days following the completed pour. 10.All cleanup of material, rock, and other debris resulting from the concrete repair will be removed by the contractor within 5 working days following the completed pour. 11.Short load fees are recoverable upon on request and approval.
