Entire interior surface of slide to be sanded using 40-50 grit, high-speed orbital with soft backup pad. 2. Entire interior surface to be sanded using 80-100 grit, pneumatic DA orbital w/o backup pad. 3. Seams to be cut out using diamond cutting disk to a depth of at least .25”, directly over the joint between slide components. 4. Sharp edges of the cut seams are to be eased by hand using 100-grit paper, creating a gentle radius. 5. Any air pockets or voids, chips, spider cracks, or gouges to be repaired using waterproof polyester or vinylester fillers or vinylester resin and chopmat. Repairs to be finished to be completely flush with the original surface. 6. Any poorly aligned seams are to be re-aligned. 7. Ashland Maxguard LE gelcoat, or approved equal, which resists yellowing and blistering to be spray applied; two consecutive coats totaling 18-22 DFT. Duratec High gloss additive, or approved equal, to be used with gelcoat. 8. Gunwales of slide may have gelcoat rolled on and blended with sprayed applied surface – two coats equaling 18-22 DFT. 9. Cured gelcoat to be sanded and buffed to a consistent sheen, and any necessary repairs completed to result in a flawless finish closely resembling new slide components. 10. Seams to be recalked using Sikaflex 291, approved equal, tooled smooth using Mineral spirits. 11. McQuire’s Polymer Gelcoat sealer, or approved equal, to be high-speed buffed into gelcoat surface – 100% coverage of all new gelcoat. 12. Prep and re-coat concrete steps and platform of slide tower supporting blue enclosed slide and green flume slide. Existing failed coatings are to be ground off, revealing a consistent scarified concrete substrate.
