A. Asphaltic Concrete This surface course for the roadway shall be known as Plant Mix Bituminous Pavement BP-1, BP-2 or Bituminous Surface Leveling and shall be constructed as outlined in Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition. All mix designs must be currently approved by MoDOT for use. B. Testing Testing requirements shall be outlined in Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition. Testing shall be done by a local agency or by consultant employed by local agency. C. Traffic Control The City of Rolla will be responsible providing all necessary traffic control devices. The Contractor will be responsible for installing temporary traffic control devices and flagging including installing any required detours. The contractor will be responsible for installing temporary pavement markings, the City of Rolla will provide the temporary pavement markings. D. Prevailing Wages The Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with Section 290.250 of the Revised Missouri Statutes pertaining to payment of prevailing wages. E. Tack This shall consist of liquid asphalt (Designation SS1-H), applied at a rate of 0.08 gallon per square yard unless otherwise specified, conforming to Missouri State Highway Commission. F. Coldmilling This shall consist of removing 1” 2” or 4” of the existing surface. There may be concrete patches that require milling. No additional payment for milling concrete patches. The coldmilled area must be filled with asphalt within 48 hours. The City of Rolla will NOT provide trucking, cleanup and hauling off of millings. The contractor must provide a sweeper and operator to assist cleanup.
