• Shelter Beds. Achieving the addition of 200+ beds. Not that each proposal has to add 200 beds, but in making funding decisions, decisions are based on how close to 200 beds the City can fund. • 24/7 Shelter Operations. Shelters that will stay open 24 hours a day is preferred and that will operate daily during the winter season of December 1st thru March 15th . • 24/7 Shelter Operations at Specific Temperature Thresholds. Typically, during the winter season there are about 2-5 extreme weather events such as extreme snow storms or extremely low temperatures. Shelters that aren’t normally open 24/7, shall include in their proposal if they would be open to offering 24/7 access during these extreme, significant weather events. • Walk-up Night Only Shelters: This type of activity will also be considered. • Pop-up Shelters: This is a shelter that will only operate specific days or at specific temperatures, but are not open every single day during the winter season. These will be considered. • Start by Dec. 1st . Shelters that will operate daily through the winter season (have an estimated start up between Nov. 15 and Dec. 1st and stay open until mid to end of March).
