Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide professional management experience for the 2024 Mayor’s Night’s Night Hoops program . This program will consist of an basketball component and an educational component at each of the four locations -Southeast, Gregg Klice, Garrison and Hillcrest Community Centers. The basketball component will consist of weekly league play with separate age divisions for boys and girls. Participants will be grouped into teams of 8-10 players. All participants in the basketball component will be require to attend the educational component on a weekly basis. Youth who do not wish to participate in the basketball component can sign up for the educational component separately. Topics will include financial security, gang prevention, CPR training, Sportsmanship in athletics, and building positive relationships within the community. Mayor’s Night’s Night Hoops will provide young people with a safe place to participate in a variety of interesting and social activities while also expanding options for youth participation in the communities in which they live and learn. Most importantly we will be protecting our youth and assisting with the building of productive and engaged citizens.
