Specifications include, but are not limited to: MDCPS seeks to contract with a private provider to license and monitor the homes of MDCPS employees for non-therapeutic relative children or children freed for adoption. 2.2.1 Licensing Licensing includes conducting walk-throughs, home studies, pre-service training, and issuing licenses. If a child is already placed in the home of a relative (who is an employee of MDCPS), the home must be licensed within ninety (90) days in order to be compliant with the 2nd Modified Mississippi Settlement Agreement and Reform Plan. 2.2.2 Monitoring Monitoring includes making monthly visits (twice per month) to ensure conditions remain compliant with standards for the safety and wellbeing of the foster children they serve as well as reporting those visits and relicensing the home. The contractor must submit quarterly reports to show the dates the visits were conducted. Children being monitored must be seen alone and it must be noted in the quarterly report narrative. The contractor must also include discussions with foster parents and any other member in the home in the quarterly report narrative.
