Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work is for landscape maintenance and lawn care, tree care, mowing, fertilization, weed and pest control services for Jackson County sites listed herein. The County shall determine the schedule for work to be performed by order of preference for each facility within the sections. General landscape maintenance and lawn care services shall include, but not be limited to the following: trash pick-up and removal of any debris; mowing; weed eating, hedge trimming, edging, blowing, fertilization; tree trimming and pruning, tree and shrub mulching and spraying of herbicides and insecticides. Trash and Debris Removal: During routine maintenance visits the Contractor will be responsible for removing litter, trash and debris from the property. Curbs, sidewalks, etc. are to be cleaned with mechanical blowers and/or brooms to maintain a neat appearance. Heavy accumulations of sand, gravel, leaves, etc. are to be removed with a shovel or brooms if blowers provide an unsatisfactory result. Mowing: Lawns shall be mowed at the appropriate height to keep a neat appearance. The Contractor is required to use the proper mowing equipment to provide a high quality cut and minimize the occurrence of unnecessary scalping due to uneven terrain. Excessive clippings are to be collected and removed from the job site at the end of each visit. The use of bagging attachments is recommended. Care is to be taken at all times when operating around fixtures and fences to prevent damage to them. Cutting Restrictions: The Contractor shall not mow or work any site when the ground is soft to the point that ruts from equipment, mowers or tractors will be left in the surface.
