Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendor will provide staffing for traffic, pedestrian control, and building security services positions as deemed necessary in consultation with and pending approval by the University Police Department or the Parking and Transportation Department. Vendor providing these services for UM will ensure that they meet the following conditions: a) All employees must be at least 18 years of age. b) All employee qualifications must be verified with proper documentation. c) All employees must complete training that is applicable to their specific job function and approved by Parking and Transportation or the University Police Department before they are eligible to work. d) All employees are required to undergo background checks that must be performed by an approved University vendor. Background checks from previous companies will not be considered valid. All background checks must be completed and provided to Parking and Transportation or the University Police Department before personnel are allowed to work on Ole Miss Property. e) Services may be required daily, weekly, monthly, or by semester. They could be needed to provide services 24 hours a day for securing parking lots, providing entrance controls to lots, working an event or for traffic control. The hours could be as few 2 or as many as 24 on any given day. f) The number of personnel required for any given day or event could be as few as one or as many as twenty-five. g) Each assignment would require a planning meeting between the vendor and Parking and Transportation or the University Police Department to determine the number of personnel needed and the hours required. h) All documentation and necessary training must be completed before workers are eligible to work for Ole Miss. Ole Miss must possess said documentation 48 hours prior to employee being scheduled to work. i) All parking services personnel must have demonstrated local knowledge of campus. 2. Security Vendor(s) will provide all employees appropriate uniforms for their function. Ole Miss will consult with vendors on appropriate uniforms for the various areas and functions of Parking and Transportation or the University Police Department. Ole Miss has final approval on all uniform choices.
