● Design therapy programs consistent with the educational philosophy of the district; ● Conduct evaluations and determine the specialized goals and needs of individual students; ● Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques; ● Prepare, implement, and evaluate annual educational plans for each student based on individual assessments; ● Prepare, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for each student according to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals; ● Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions; ● Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally; ● Promote students’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination; ● Consult and practice with other health professionals; ● Evaluate effects, monitor progress, and provide recommendations to parents and teachers; Collaborate with school personnel in coordinating services within the school; ● Maintain the confidentiality of all student and school records; ● Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Services or Superintendent; ● Adhere to the Mississippi Educator Code of Ethics; and ● Support the MSDB physical therapy program for the 2025-2026 school year and during Extended School Year (ESY) in June 2026.
