Specifications include, but are not limited to: DeSoto County is seeking to ensure competitive, high-speed broadband for all homes and businesses in DeSoto County. The County is pursuing Professional Consultant / Engineering Services from qualified firms for the procurement of a firm or company to plan, review the design, and oversee construction and specific broadband infrastructure in unserved or underserved portions of DeSoto County. This request for qualifications to be done in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. This scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Project planning and bidding Contracting and oversite of the construction phase administration and inspection Surveying Assistance with right-of-wat and permitting requirements Related matters The firm should have expertise in design or assistance and/or oversite of design of a system to extend broadband at the speeds/levels described in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) guidelines.
