Specifications include, but are not limited to: # Mild steel tube with no less than 3 inch inner diameter (larger diameters are acceptable) capable of producing no less than 35BAR (500psi) reflected shock pressures with decay times approximately in the 6ms range # Provisions for variable driver lengths with bolt in sections # Suitable stands with rollers for the tube that can be mounted to an existing "I beam" which has a width of no less 9 inches # A suitable dump tank should be provided that will accommodate the shock loads. # Two side view ports and one end view port should be fitted in the dump tank of adequate size to allow for high speed photography. The material for all windows should be poly-carbonate, Acrylic or some other material capable of withstanding the shock load and provide optimum clarity for high speed photograpy.
