Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Evaluation of Conditions and Strategic Visioning Evaluate Existing Conditions and Conduct Market Analysis: Evaluate existing conditions of SUA and major partners/tenants, including all present student union locations. Inventory and collect data required to inform demand model. Visioning: Develop a strategic vision statement for the future of student unions on the Twin Cities Campus, informed through evaluation of existing conditions and University-led engagement findings, and consultant-led visioning workshop. The vision should be reflective of the challenges and opportunities, both current and anticipated, identified by the planning process. Task 2: Program Development Proposed Activities, Amenities, and Tenants: Develop program options for future student union programming, including determining all potential activities, spaces, amenities, and tenants. Program options should identify campus location recommendations (East Bank, West Bank, or Saint Paul) for each component. Program development will be informed by Task 1 Deliverables. Evaluation of Space Needs: Within the context of program options, assess and identify space needs for potential activities, amenities, and tenants, including a student engagement and leadership center, and possibly combining student activities, leadership, multicultural student engagement, student group advising, and marketing offices. Each program option should describe activities, amenities, and tenants based on measurable demand and anticipate viability of the uses.
