Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Solicitation is contract with a vendor(s) to provide Street Sweepers, 3 and 4 Wheels (S-843(5)) which may be purchased by State Agencies and Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) members on an as needed basis. 2.1 REQUIREMENTS Unit shall be mechanical brush, vacuum, brush/vacuum, or regenerative air type units, powered by liquid cooled diesel engine(s), or electric. Unit shall have low engine oil and high engine water temp indicators. Unit shall have air cleaner restriction indicator in the cab. Sweeper shall have backup alarm. Unit shall have left hand, right hand trailer tow type mirrors. Unit shall have windshield wiper washer system. Unit shall have rear backup light. Operator seat shall be deluxe cloth, full adjustable. Unit shall include dual controls when dual gutter brooms are ordered unless operator can view left and right side broom from operator control station. Unit shall have power steering. Engine(s) shall have fuel and water separator per engine manufacturer’s recommendation. Unit shall have guide wheel strut on 3-wheel sweeper models. Unit shall include FMVSS approved lights and turn signals. Unit shall have an enclosed cab with heater and pressurized air system. Air conditioning/tinted glass shall be offered as an option or may be included in base unit cost. When offering attachments such as, but not limited to, dual gutter brooms, etc., price must include everything needed (including installation) for unit to be complete and ready for use by the operator from the cab. Contract Vendor is responsible for ensuring equipment meets all applicable current Federal and Minnesota State safety codes. Manufacturer’s standard color is acceptable, lead free paint. Unit shall be delivered with one complete additional set of O.E.M. air and fluid filters. Unit shall be supplied with one set of parts, service, repair, and operations manuals. Contract Vendor is responsible for providing adequate orientation in mounting and removal, operation, safety, and maintenance of supplied equipment prior to the purchase being considered complete or payment issued. Contract Vendor shall furnish at minimum a standard manufacturer’s warranty. The Contract Vendor shall be responsible for the cost of any inspections, adjustments, parts, labor, travel, pickup and/or delivery charges that are a result of equipment failure(s) during the warranty period. This shall be performed without any delay period. This warranty shall commence when the unit is put into service. The responder shall state warranty for all items requested on the pricing page.
