The vendor shall be responsible for: Assisting injured fire department individuals in navigating the healthcare process post-injury. Scheduling medical appointments, including: Primary care physicians Specialists Diagnostic testing (e.g., imaging, labs) Physical therapy Any related follow-up services Acting on behalf of the injured party to reduce: Time to definitive diagnosis Time to see a specialist or physical therapist Unnecessary or duplicate medical appointments Providing a single point of contact for each injured individual. Keeping individuals informed at every stage of their care process. Working collaboratively with: The City’s Workers' Compensation process Injured individuals' private health insurance providers
