Specifications include, but are not limited to: MnDOT is requesting proposals from colleges and universities for providing academic research on a wide variety of transportation related topics. Contracts under this program will include research support, implementation and technology transfer and education activities. The intent of this RFP is to establish a list of qualified academic institutions to address specific research issues identified by MnDOT requiring expertise not available within MnDOT. Successful responders will, under the terms and conditions of the Master Contract, be required to: 1. Furnish the necessary personnel, facilities, equipment and services to conduct research support, implementation and technology transfer and education projects as identified by MnDOT through a needs identification process. 2. Coordinate transportation-related research, implementation and technology transfer and education projects in response to the needs and requirements of MnDOT. 3. Meet with MnDOT, as necessary, to update and review the direction of active projects and also to ensure that the research is consistent with the problem statement objectives. Such meetings will take place at sites selected by MnDOT or via other meeting technologies.
