Specifications include, but are not limited to: Determine the feasibility and effectiveness of applying EK enhanced remediation technology at the Site. 1. Initial Determination of Site Soil and Groundwater Soil and groundwater samples from the Site will be used for all tests described below in tasks 3 through 6 and will be collected by MPCA and provided to the contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for calculating the volume of Site soil and groundwater needed for the Contractor to conduct the tests listed in tasks 3 through 6. Contractor will provide MPCA with volume calculations within 14 days of Notice to Proceed (NTP) via e-mail. 2. Sample Parameters and Analytical Methods MPCA will provide the soil and groundwater samples to the Contractor; upon receipt of the samples, the Contractor will be responsible for all sample handling, testing, and analysis as part of conducting the bench-scale treatability tests as listed below in tasks 3 through 6. 3. Evaluation of Electrokinetic –in situ Chemical Oxidation (EK-ISCO) Using Activated Persulfate Test the feasibility and effectiveness of EK-ISCO using activated persulfate. The Contractor will be responsible for conducting separate bench-scale column tests to evaluate both the EK transport of persulfate across the media and the treatment/reduction of the VOCs. Contractor will be responsible for providing updates during the monthly update meeting with MPCA regarding testing results from tasks 3a through 3d listed below.
