Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified responders for occupational health services. The MDVA desires one entity to coordinate all of the necessary services for MDVA as outlined below and make a medical consultant (MC) available to the MDVA to evaluate medical results and provide consultation. 1. Provide post job offer, pre and post placement related physical evaluations (and functional assessments as requested on a case-by-case basis), based on the physical demands analysis established for each position. In the event that a position does not already have a physical demands analysis or functional assessment established, successful responder may be requested to evaluate certain positions to identify the medical/physical standards for that specific position. 2. Upon completion of the candidate’s/employee’s pre-placement physical/functional assessment, communicate in writing to the MDVA an assessment of the candidate’s/employee’s ability to perform the essential job functions of the position. 3. Provide consultation and assessments for other MDVA occupational health needs. This may include, but is not limited to: respirator medical evaluation and assessment, hearing exams, Hepatitis B vaccinations/titers, and tuberculosis screening.
