Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor will provide a maximum of two Engineers (or technically equivalent staff) per group to complete PreDesign and Final Design work for projects detailed below. It is expected that Contractor have prior experience on highway construction projects performing Pre-Design and Final Design tasks, including the use of Corridor Modeling with Bentley Software. The engineer may be at the engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering technician level. Pre-Design will include geometric design, truck turning evaluation, determination of construction limits, development of 3D models, and creation of preliminary design layouts using AutoTurn and Bentley Software, including MicroStation, Corridor Modeling and Geopak Open Roads. This work may also include completion of project Design Memos using Microsoft Word and development of preliminary cost estimates using Microsoft Excel. This work will be completed in accordance with MnDOT standards, specifications and policies. Contractor will prepare the necessary layouts and documents. Final Design will include geometric design, drafting plan sheets, preparing cross sections and creating 3D models using Bentley Software, including MicroStation, Corridor Modeling and Geopak Open Roads. Final Design will also include preparing quantity tabulations with Microsoft Excel. This work will be completed in accordance with MnDOT standards, specifications and policies. Contractor will prepare the necessary plan sheets and calculations.
