Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Hennepin County Capital Budget and Government Center HVAC and Plumbing Preservation Study initiated the Government Center C-Tower Riser Replacement project to replace the rapidly deteriorating plumbing line infrastructure throughout the C-tower. Located at 300 South 6th St. in Minneapolis, the Hennepin County Government Center C-tower experiences high levels of public, court, and staff use resulting in a heavy demand on the facility’s plumbing infrastructure. The plumbing systems of government center C-tower have not had a major update since the initial construction in 1974. This project will include updates to allow for better ADA accessibility of staff and jury restrooms, plumbing and data risers, facility maintenance, and the overall patron experience in jury spaces. The Government Center C-tower Riser Replacement Project will be conducted through (29) levels. Levels D – Skyway consist of (6) base building levels, and levels 3 – 25 consist of (23) C-tower levels. The lower base building levels house utility spaces, staff offices, public services, parking, retail spaces, restrooms, sheriff detention areas, and public circulation. The upper tower levels house courtrooms, court detention areas, staff offices, restrooms, and office/court support spaces. The modifications proposed for this project will occur in phases, and the court and staff spaces will remain occupied during the duration of the project.
