Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide post job offer, pre and post placement related physical evaluations (and functional assessments as requested on a case-by-case basis), based on the physical demands analysis established for each position.* Upon completion of the candidate’s/employee’s pre-placement physical/functional assessment, communicate in writing to the DOC an assessment of the candidate’s/employee’s ability to perform the essential job functions of the position. Provide consultation and assessments for other DOC occupational health needs. This may include, but is not limited to: respirator medical evaluation and assessment, hearing exams, non-Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing, Hepatitis B vaccinations/titers, and tuberculosis screening. See Task section for full list. Provide the DOC with bloodborne pathogen exposure services. DOC employees need medical care available for initial evaluation and risk assessment services, possible prophylaxis treatment, and/or counseling on bodily fluid exposure incidents. Medical care locations should be near each DOC correctional facility. Upon completion of the exam, results must be provided to the DOC.
