Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University has begun schematic design & calculations and is now seeking a design-build team to complete design, procure, and install an improved heat-recovery system. With both systems running year-round, there exists a simultaneous need for heating and cooling in the building. A 40 to 50 ton (depending on equipment manufacturer sizing) heat recovery chiller (HRC) will be installed, reclaiming the heat from the growth chambers to use for supplementing the year-round reheat system. An additional 115 ton plate and frame heat exchanger (HX) will also be installed. This HX will act as the system backup as well as provide additional capacity to the process cooling loop when the growth chamber load is above the HRC capacity
