The Contractor should place cages around what appear to be well-formed seedlings (for example, a seedling >12” tall with a vertical stem and many healthy, green leaves). Cages should be placed around seedlings that are scattered across the 13 acres and not clustered in one area. b. There should be approximately 4 cages scattered per row of trees running east to west. c. The welded wire cage should form an approximately 3 foot diameter circle with the seedling in the center.
