Specifications include, but are not limited to: Washington County is soliciting proposals from qualified, experienced website development companies to design, develop, and implement its public website. The selected contractor will lead a team of county department representatives in designing, developing, and following through to implementation, a functional layout, site map, all graphics and pages, design and technical feature descriptions, migration of content, content manager training, and usability and American s with Disability Act (ADA) test reports for a redesigned public website. The county wants to establish a website that provides improved access to information, interactive communications, and support for business transactions over the internet. In addition, the county wants to establish a web presence that will provide uniform interfaces to current and future web applications, provide robust search capabilities, and use icons, color, text, and graphics in a consistent manner to improve communication. The site will include interactive forms, citizen input capability, connectivity to social media, and other web enabled information services that will enhance the users experience with the county s website. The public s expectation is that online services are always available, that transactions are secure. And that government organizations are not sharing information about citizens unnecessarily. Meeting these expectations is essential. The project will be divided into three phases design, development, and implementation, to ensure that all contractor proposed design elements are approved by the county prior to development and implementation of the approved design
