Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Sweeping or blowing out each shelter; • Wiping down of interior and exterior walls, floor/ground, and windows.; • Removal of graffiti, stickers, etc.; • Emptying or removing trash as necessary.; • Occasional removal and cleaning of biohazard materials; • Power washing as needed, but not more than once per month, when temperatures will be no lower than 40 degrees Fahrenheit at night.; • Snow removal from inside shelter and on surrounding walkways after snow events of 2” or more inches. Salt may not be used in or around transit shelters.; Successful transit shelter cleaning will require the use of motorized and non-motorized equipment. Power washers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, shovels, ice chippers, sand, and other equipment or methods may be used. Early morning and day-time operations may be needed to clean the shelters. ; Snow removal efforts will commence when snowfall in the City of Rochester reaches a depth of two (2) inches and continue until the snow from each snow event is cleared from the transit shelters. Snow removal before November 1st or after March 31st and for events totaling less than two (2) inches must be coordinated with RPT prior to commencement. RPT shall initiate commencement of clearing with the Contractor in these situations. Due to the intensity of snowfall, individual shelters may warrant multiple site visits to complete the snow removal during each snow event.; Snow and ice removed from the stop or shelter, adjacent sidewalk, and loading zone are to not be illegally dispersed into city streets. The Contractor shall place snow in the windrow, tree lawn, or other area that provides pedestrian access to the transit stop or shelter and bus loading zone. Snow and ice placement shall not be left so that it is an obstruction or hazard. Contractor shall work with property owners as needed.
