Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an outside vendor to develop one new template-based website for our public audience. This website must be easy to navigate, aesthetically pleasing, and be maximally coded to allow the website to be properly indexed by search engines. Additionally, the website must have a content management system (CMS) that will allow for quick and easy content maintenance by department staff. The vendor will provide the DOC with assistance in organizing the web content in a manner that is easy for end users to access, as well as training to appropriate staff for website revision and maintenance. The vendor will design and create a new website for the DOC and will do so by including the following functions and implementing the following features: 1. Assist DOC in organizing and optimizing content for the new website 2. Create a custom graphic design of the website. This design can include existing templates. 3. Integrate an open-source content management system (CMS), which includes all installation and implementation of basic modules in the system 4. Design and integrate content pages into the CMS, and include all training and technical support on how to design future content pages 5. Optimize web design for Search Engine Optimization to include indexing, scalability, and future flexibility 6. Develop website to current web and security standards (XHUML/CSS) and ADA compliance Responders are encouraged to propose additional tasks or activities if they will improve the results of the project.
