Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MAC seeks to partner with a qualified Vendor to provide snow removal and snow melting services in airside ramp and non-movement areas, as well as public roadways to fulfill MAC’s responsibility for efficient and quick snow removal services during winter operations as a part of its FAA-approved Snow and Ice Control Program at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP or Airport). • Improve efficiencies of clearing airside ramp areas around aircraft to minimize airline gate hold times, • Minimizes risk to MAC and airline employees for slips, trips, and falls, • Reduces taxiway snow height restrictions by actively melting snow during an event, • Improving snow removal level of service expectations to airline baseline requirements. The facilities to be covered under this contract would include T1 airside ramp areas, T2 airside ramp areas, and identified public roadways on the MAC campus. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, fixtures, supplies, equipment, and transportation necessary to do the work specified. The contract affirms that the equipment or work shall be in full compliance with any and all applicable, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, Federal, State and/or Commissions regulations. The Vendor shall have available, and furnish as needed, sufficient trained and qualified personnel to be able to operate the required equipment with maximum 16 hour shifts consecutively around the clock when conditions/operations dictate. The contracted firm shall furnish a sufficient and stable number of trained and qualified personnel to operate their snow removal equipment from the time they are called until the time they are released, and who are familiar with, or promptly become familiar with, snow removal procedures at MSP. The contractor shall also furnish trained, qualified individuals to operate MAC owned snow removal equipment and other MAC owned equipment at the request of the Director of Maintenance Services & Asset Management, or designee. The contractor will furnish, for each snow removal operation, a supervisor experienced in snow removal operations, who shall be acceptable to, and supervise and direct the operation of the contractor equipment under the direction of, the Director of Maintenance Services & Asset Management, or designee. The supervisor shall also be the operator of one of the pieces of equipment.
