Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Perform resident security services, such as observe operations areas, including stairwells and waiting areas, parking areas, loading zones, other areas of the property not open to the public to ensure safe and secure operations at the Duluth Transportation Center and Transit Center East. b. Intervene in disagreements or behavior that is not consistent with DTA standards and code of conduct. c. Report any criminal activity to local authorities, stay on the scene (to the extent it is safe to do so) until authorities arrive. d. Employ dispute reduction techniques to diffuse angry persons. e. Patrol throughout both buildings and parking ramp on a regular basis to ensure there are no persons loitering, conducting illegal activity, harassing customers, etc. f. Where feasible, escort patrons to their car upon request. g. Enforce no smoking rules on DTA property. h. Enforce DTA rules, such as no sitting on stairways or the floor, littering, etc. i. Prepare and email a daily written report to the DTA Director of Safety and Security for all incidents. j. Work with DTA staff and local authorities to document persons trespassing or conducting illegal activity. k. Report any emergency situations, fire, EMS calls, etc. promptly and stay in contact with DTA personnel as requested. l. Report any unsafe driving in the Center, including buses speeding or causing property damage (by DTA and 3rd party drivers.) m. Other actions as may be necessary to maintain a safe and secure operation that are consistent with security services.
