Specifications include, but are not limited to: SNOW PLOWING: Thoroughly plow entire parking lot area, entry/exit ramps, parking ramps anddriveways, including driveways coming into facilities, according to these specifications. Snowplowing shall automatically commence after each snow fall in excess of 2" accumulation. In theevent that an accumulation of 2" has fallen prior to 3:00 a.m., Contractor shall be required toperform snow plowing activities and have this function completed before 6:00 a.m. of that day.Contractor may conceivably be required to thoroughly perform snow plowing activities morethan once within a given twenty four (24) hour period, and may be called by the BuildingOperations Manager to perform special cleanup during normal business hours based onsnowfall accumulations. Immediately after the completion of every snowplowing, Contractorshall thoroughly sand/salt drive lanes and any areas requested by site Building OperationsManager. See section 15 for site-specific requirements concerning plowing and sanding. Thecost for sanding immediately following a snow fall shall be included in the contractor's baseprice for snow plowing. The sanding that is referenced on the Proposal Page is for sandingabove and beyond the sanding listed in the snow plowing instructions (See Section 1,Sanding/Salting). Contractor shall contact the Building Operations Manager if there is anyquestion as to whether or not to plow. In addition, there may be areas which require handshoveling to clear a more restricted area. See section 15 for site-specific variations tofacility operational hours. See attached maps for site-specific requirements regardingsnow plowing, snow removal and temporary snow storage.SNOW REMOVAL: See instructions in Section 15 regarding site-specific requirements.Contractor shall be notified of any additional snow removal requests by the Building OperationsManager of the respective facility. Contractor shall own or have available and operate adequateequipment necessary to perform the snow removal function, and have this equipment availablewithin a twelve (12) hour period.
