Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Department of Corrections, MINNCOR Industries, is requesting proposals for a consultant to review the department's print shop industry and assist the department in evaluating their estimating and operations, how print sales are conducted, identify the type(s) of equipment the department may want to utilize, and provide analysis on the future of the print market. The goal of this project is to provide department decision makers with information on the print market and the current state of DOC systems (related to being competitive in future markets), in order to allow department decision makers to identify changes and/or needs for MINNCOR Industries in this area. Qualified contractor(s) will be capable of performing the following types of tasks: Become knowledgeable about MINNCOR's print shop processes and equipment currently in use. This may include interviewing key individuals who work with print industries. Identify market trends in the print industry, particularly in relation to primary customer base and equipment/technology needs, both in the short and long-term. Evaluate MINNCOR's services in light of the identified market trends and make recommendations to the department on changes/needs for the print services.
