Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Rubber Removal. The rubber removal and collection of rubber, wastewater and other loose particles must be accomplished with a simultaneous operation. A separate recovery vehicle may be used for collecting the non-hazardous wastewater and solids from the removal operation. Vehicles must be operated such that no wastewater and debris wastewater/residue will be allowed to runoff or pond. Any residual wastewater left behind on the runway must evaporate within two (2) hours of application, prior to runway reuse. Recovery vehicle shall have onboard recovery and waste separation. Waste water filtration must be to .35 micron before on-site disposal. Waste water from the rubber removal process will be allowed to be deposited in the Camp Ripley RV dump site, located approximately 1.8 miles (southeast) from the tower traveling on improved roads. Speed limits are posted and are 30 mph or less. Airfield OIC may allow exiting from other areas than the tower to facilitate quicker disposal. Dump site is a 4” drop. Pricing offered in response includes all waste water disposal transportation costs. It is the awarded contract vendor’s responsibility to dispose of all solid waste particles off site. c. Painting. Painting of approximately 68,485 square feet of Airfield Runway. All measurements are approximate. Contractor is responsible for all final measurements. Paint must be approved FFA Federal Specification Waterborne Traffic Marking Paint with Type I reflective glass beads. All paint is white in color with exception of the Taxi Lines which are yellow.
