The Minneapolis Police Department’s PEACE Internship Program—short for Pathways Encouraging Active Community Engagement—is a unique, paid internship opportunity designed specifically for high school students in Minneapolis who are interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement, public safety, or community service. As part of our commitment to supporting the academic success and holistic development of our interns, we have identified a growing need for targeted academic support— particularly in the subject of mathematics. We are requesting the implementation of weekly math tutoring sessions, offered every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, to support students at all levels of math proficiency. These sessions will provide individualized, and group instruction tailored to meet students where they are—whether they need help with foundational skills, algebra, geometry, or advanced math concepts Description of services: Fall 2025 – 10 sessions for 10+ students. Spring 2026 – 17 sessions for 10+ students. Support for our cohort of high school student interns during the 2025-2026 academic year.
