Task 1 - Project Management Meeting. Vendor will meet with staff as desired to discuss project management. In this first meeting, we will discuss and confirm the timeline, identify roles and milestones, and collaboratively map out the process. Typically, the City provides a copy of the current job description for our review. Task 2 - Personnel Interviews. The Project Consultant will conduct interviews with internal stakeholders identified by the City, while also working to develop a clear and streamlined understanding of community stakeholder expectations for public safety leadership. Task 3 - Profile and Advertisement. The city will develop a position profile and electronic brochure produced by our graphic design team. The city will place advertisements on several key professional associations' websites to reach a strong and diverse candidate pool. Task 4 - Identification of Qualified Candidates. Project Consultant will work with Human Resources to assess individuals who applied against the position profile to determine whether they will be competitive for the position. The city may also recruit candidates who meet the established criteria. We utilize the following activities to develop the candidate pool: a. Review of Internal Candidates – Internal candidates will experience the same evaluation process as external candidates. Each candidate will be assessed on the merits, evaluated comparatively to the entire candidate pool, and presented accordingly.
