The purpose of this RFP is to select organization/s that provide homebuyer financial wellness, capacity building education services, and foreclosure counseling on a nondiscriminatory basis. The City of Minneapolis is particularly looking for organizations that can provide culturally specific but not exclusionary services with the capability to build capacity within communities that have been historically marginalized and disenfranchised for homeownership and offer education to close the racial disparity gap in homeownership. The Organizations selected by the City will be expected to perform and carry out in a satisfactory and professional manner the following services: Minneapolis Homes: Homebuyer Support Services Applicants may apply for just one or for each of the activities listed below: 1. Financial Wellness Counseling: Provide need-based financial wellness education that focuses on wealth creation and legacy building through homeownership of 1-4-unit property a. One-to-one education and/or b. Group education 2. HUD-approved Homebuyer education: homeownership counseling to prepare individuals and families for the possibility of purchasing and maintaining a home. 3. HUD Approved Foreclosure Prevention: Support existing homeowners to keep and maintain their homes. a. Credit restoration b. Rehab program referrals c. HUD approved Foreclosure Counseling For each activity, applicants must provide a certification of completion for the participant with date of completion.
