The City is seeking conceptual design (up to 30%) services, completion of a discretionary environmental assessment worksheet, and a tree impact assessment for the entire corridor and is seeking final design services and construction engineering and inspection services for the segment from Mississippi River Boulevard to Fairview Avenue. Turnkey construction engineering and inspection services for this segment will include construction inspection, preparing and submitting paperwork for payment and change-orders, resolving field issues, public engagement, and coordinating work with city staff, contractors, and property owners. Design work includes public engagement, development of conceptual layouts, alternatives analysis, a city staff approved layout, signed construction plans, specifications and special provisions, and project renderings, sewer and water utility design, utility coordination, development of a cost and schedule estimate, and permitting. The proposer must also conduct pre-design geotechnical and environmental borings and environmental investigation and detailed tree assessments. The city will provide design survey and construction staking services for the project but supplemental surveying by the proposer is encouraged for information requests and urgent needs. Project construction elements include utility work, grading, curb and gutter work, installation of stormwater management treatments, replacement of storm and sanitary sewers, paving, signage/striping, lighting, signal work, landscaping, and sidewalk work.
