Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow Removal. The Contractor will be responsible to remove snow from all areas designated within “snow removal” area, including, but not limited to parking area(s), roads and grounds, driveways, fire lanes, fire hydrants, parking lots. Service address is 2190 William Avenue, Montevideo, MN 56265. Snow removal will be in such a manner that there will be no loss of parking, roadways, or blockage of sidewalks or steps. Snow may be pushed, piled, and left on site; however, the locations must be approved in advance by the Facility Manager. No snow can be pushed up against fencing or structures. The agency’s staff will clear the sidewalks for the location. Response time: When snow accumulation has finished and reaches two (2) inches or more (as measured by the closest National Weather Service or local airport), the Contractor should perform this task unless otherwise directed by the Facility Manager in writing. All areas are to be clear and accessible (7 days a week) on the day of accumulation. No snow can be pushed up against fencing or structures. Contractor must be prepared to allow for time changes based on the facility needs. Will Call Basis for Salt/Sanding. Upon request the Contractor will be responsible to furnish and apply sand/salt to the ‘Snow Removal’ area. Contractor will be advised by the Facility Manager as to what locations will be sand/salted. Sand/Salt will be billed per occurrence and separate from snow services. The per occurrence price must include the application fee. Response Time: Must be within six (6) hours of request by the Facility Manager. Contractor must provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any snow/ice treatment/chemicals used at the facility when requested by the Facility Manager. Will Call Basis for Hauling Snow. Upon request the Contractor may be asked by the Facility Manager to haul and remove snow from the site. The Contractor may be asked to load snow with their equipment and relocate the snow offsite using their equipment to haul snow. May be within forty-eight (48) hours of request by the Facility Manager. Vehicles used for snow removal must have the proper lights, and warning signals according to OSHA and MnDOT regulations.
