The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to perform a prescribed burn of approximately 130 acres of established native prairie in Wabasha County, MN, southeast of Kellogg, near the West Newton Public Boat Launch. There is an option for woody vegetation control (cutting and stump treating with herbicide) of approximately 200 stems across 51 acres, varying in size from 1-8" in diameter. This option will only be exercised after successful completion of the prescribed burn.
The prescribed burn will be completed when the weather, fuel and other site factors match the prescribed descriptions in the burn plan. The burning must occur between October 10 and November 25, to prevent impacts to the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee, a Federally listed endangered species known to be present at the site.
This solicitation will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses.
Offerors are encouraged to inspect/view the sites where the work will be performed before quoting. The site is on public property, and is accessible without restrictions.
Quotes must include Fire Boss Qualifications and a list of anticipated Pesticide Applicators, with copies of the credentials for each individual. Quotes that do not include this information will not be considered for award.
Quotes must be received by the solicitation close time and date stated in SAM.gov. Quotes received after the stated date and time are late, and ineligible for contract award.
