Starting in the fall of 2025 and wrapping up in the spring of 2026, Island View Park will be received a park improvement project to improve the existing entrance drive, construct a main parking lot, install a picnic pavilion, vault toilet, trailhead, wayfinding, and interpretive signs. The project includes a tree and shrub planting component for visual screening between the pavilion and vault toilet, and along the east portion of the entrance drive, to provide future shade for trail users.
