This RFP is the WiFi Network Segment for the University's Next Generation Network. Please read the following information carefully. The scope of this RFP is for a complete refresh of the University of Minnesota's Wi-Fi system, including all hardware, authentication and management systems. The primary focus is to provide secure role-based access for students, staff and faculty. Bring your own device (BYOD) and IOT services are a high priority for students and staff. Any proposed system must scale to support a state-wide multi-campus system with a wide variety of RF environments. The solution must use the latest WiFi technology and have a variety of APs from small hospitality units to larger high-performance APs. AP functionality must be able address challenging environments, such as outdoors, mesh, point-to-point, warehouse, and large classrooms.
