The University of Minnesota Law School is looking to remodel approximately 3,933 sq ft of auditorium space on the Sub-Plaza floor level to address their lecture and event needs. The primary objectives of the renovation will include: Reconfiguration of floor tiers and stage to provide a fully accessible space. This may require structural modifications The space currently includes 200 fixed seats with tables. We would like to increase the seating capacity if possible. Replacement and upgrade of finishes (ceilings, walls, floors) Furniture and fixed seating design and selection Power and communications updates to meet U of M standards Design of audio/visual (A/V) system and coordination with U of M A/V vendor to support both classroom and auditorium functions Relocation and expansion of AV room within the space Upgrade lighting throughout including house and stage lighting Design storage and green room space within or adjacent to the room We are intending to procure the construction work through a Construction Manager at Risk contract and have them contracted at the end of Schematic Design for cost estimating and constructability input. Existing CAD documents will be provided to selected Respondent upon award.
