Specifications include, but are not limited to:Project Overview MnDOT requests responses for the development of a strategic research plan to support MnDOT’s strategic initiatives as well as its key products and services in order to prioritize the department’s research investments. Balanced with the strategic needs are the grassroots research needed by practitioners throughout the department. The research strategic plan will assist in determining how to balance the strategic priorities with grassroots needs to maximize return on the research program investment and extend the life of MnDOT’s assets. The MnDOT strategic research plan is expected to cover all of MnDOT’s research programs conducted in offices within MnDOT (i.e., Maintenance Research; Research Services; MN Guidestar; Bridge; Materials & Road Research, including MnROAD). The project is for MnDOT, and includes onsite work at MnDOT’s Central Office Transportation Building, in St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as possible work at MnDOT offices in Greater Minnesota. Additional outreach activities may also be required with MnDOT’s various research stakeholders. Some amount of work can be conducted remotely, as well.
