Specifications include, but are not limited to: ‐POST certified training courses; ‐Instructor training, 3 levels of instructor certifications, POST approved ‐Training facility equipped with floor and wall mats for use by MPD use of force instructors; ‐Multiple classes daily, 6 days a week; ‐Options for Early morning, mid‐day and evening classes, 6 days a week ‐On‐going training offered year round ‐Customized curriculum based on MPD training and duty needs ‐MPD input into training curriculum ‐Ability to come to the MPD for extra training, as requested; ‐Flexibility for varying schedules; ‐Instructor development in the areas of teaching the adult learner; ‐Multiple master instructors (black belts) for availability to the MPD training unit.
