Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is seeking proposals from organizations and individuals wishing to provide 24/7 building alarm monitoring services. The District covers over 70 school programs at 65 sites, with approximately 32,690 students and 3,285 teaching staff. The District intends to select one organization to provide the necessary building alarm monitoring services. Provide 24/7 building alarm monitoring services for MPS, including Holidays ; Provide input on alarm transfer protocols for MPS. MPS monitoring includes fire alarms, intrusion alarms, power failure, elevator entrapment, communication failure, fire sprinkler flow and system failure alarms. The district has a central office that monitors the various alarms at all the MPS buildings. Upon alarm being received, specific actions are implemented to determine the alarm conditions and appropriate actions. The District Communications Center (DCC) monitors the alarms 24/7.
