Project workplans for eligible projects must include 1.) specific actions to either expand access to residents or buildings without current access to organics recycling, or to increase participation at buildings with existing organics recycling programs; 2.) A plan for measuring and evaluating the results of the project, and 3.) An educational component directed towards the residents who will be participating in the program. Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to: • Creating a new organics recycling program at a multifamily building(s) where such a program does not currently exist. • Piloting new methods for increasing participation, improving collection logistics, and/or decreasing contamination in organics recycling at buildings where programs already exist. • Expanding an existing multifamily organics recycling program to buildings that do not currently have access to the program.
