Specifications include, but are not limited to: take existing national weather severity maps and create local versions for each Clear Roads member. Clear Roads is an ongoing pooled fund research project aimed at rigorous testing of winter maintenance materials, equipment and methods for use by highway maintenance crews. Task 1: Review Needed Maps Clear Roads requests 5 maps for each of the 29 member states. Some states are only interested in their own state some would prefer a more regional view. The selected vendor will review the list of requested maps and identify any aspects that require clarification. If there is sufficient budget, Clear Roads would also be interested in additional maps depicting highway routes. Task 2: Create Maps Using available software the selected vendor will create the 145 requested state-specific versions of the maps and deliver them in .png format for ease of distribution.
