His project is being undertaken by Residential Life to replace all original windows and frames in the McElroy H Hall residence as well as curtainwalls in the McElroy I Hall residence stairwells. Design and specifications must adhere to MNSCU requirements. All abatement and abatement design will be contracted by Owner outside of this scope. A thirdparty window consultant will be contracted by Owner to complete peer reviews at each phase of the design as well as attend required window testing during construction phase. Coordination and communication between consultants and designer will be expected. The project includes the following anticipated scope of work: • 122 window openings and 16 curtainwalls. • Removal of existing window frames and sashes. • Opening preparation. Note that structural modifications/fixes will likely be required for openings in stairwells. • Installation of new window units, solid surface trim and stools, and roller shades. • Plaster patching and painting around openings to match existing as required. The project will be constructed in 1 phase.
