1. Mechanical Site Prep: a. After any current crop has been harvested by Tenant in the fall of 2025, Contractor must plow and disk the field to prepare the site for direct seeding. b. The prepared seed bed should be similar to a tilled field ready for planting crops. 2. Seeds Purchased and Direct Seeded: a. Contractor must furnish all tree seeds required. (See Section H). b. After the seed bed is prepared and within seven (7) days of plowing and disking the site, Contractor shall direct seed with approximately ten (12) bushels bur, red, and white acorns and thirty two (32) bushels black walnut nuts by dispersing seed randomly and evenly over the entire site and incorporating seed into soil to a depth of approximately two to three inches (2-3 in). 3. Perimeter Treatment: a. This treatment shall occur between the start of the work and April 30, 2026, concurrently to the other treatments specified above. b. Contractor is expected to treat an estimated seventy-five-foot (75 ft) buffer of the perimeter (roughly 7.25 acres) of the forested portion of the direct seeding site.
