The complete scope of work, for the purposes of this solicitation, includes: Design Design development for the complete visitor experience portion of the Coral Reef exhibit within the Tropics Trail. (The bounds of the Coral Reef are from the end of the Asian Tortoise and Tapir exhibits all the way through Upper Viewing, the Tunnel/Ramp down, and Lower Viewing to the beginning of Warty Pig and Red Panda exhibits.) The design includes consideration for guest flow and seating, integration with lighting and sound, selection of colors and materials throughout the space (including architectural surfaces, notably flooring and walls), theming/scenery/murals, details for graphic mounts, exhibitry, etc. Note that design must work cooperatively with graphic design (being completed by the Zoo concurrently with this scope), coral reef design and fabrication inside the tank (being managed separately from this scope), and a/v design (completed by the Zoo concurrently with this scope). Fabrication Further design, fabrication, and installation of the elements outlined in the documents. This may include cabinetry, murals, creative fabrication of physical elements, sculpture, mounts, etc. This also includes installation of graphic panels being fabricated outside this scope.
